The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

My journey began over thirty years ago when memories of a traumatic childhood resurfaced and threw my world into chaos. I struggled to find my way through the darkness that encapsulated my life. I remember listening to recordings of Les Brown, an inspirational and motivational speaker, to remind myself that life doesn’t have to stay that way. 

As I worked with my therapist, and my wife as my constant support, I began to see the memories, the pains, the sadness that knocked me down, did not define me. I get to do that. I can choose to allow myself to be identified by my circumstances or I could embrace growth and learn from my past. .
